Weber has a significant status among several founding fathers of sociology. A considerable part of the growth and development of sociology in the twentieth century has been influenced by Weber's thoughts. His influence is obvious on sociological theories, methodology, and on various fields of sociology, such as historical sociology, cultural sociology, sociology of economics, sociology of knowledge, sociology of religion (as well as in the study of Islam). Weber's approach to analyze the social and cultural issues of Western societies has been extensively used. His theories have been deeply embedded in the theoretical and conceptual mobilization of researchers and theorists. His achievements have become the main part of the meta-language of sociology.
Despite the importance of Weber's achievements, as well as the opportunities that Weberian Sociology can provide to local sociology, so far, Webber's sociological capabilities have not been explored to confront specific issues of Iranian society. Hence, the Department of Sociology of Kharazmi University intends to convene a conference with the participation of researchers at national level in order to apply Weberian concepts, theories and methodological approaches to the problems of the Iranian society
